About Nathan Boddy
Nathan Boddy is a writer and journalist based in the Bitterroot Valley of western Montana. Born and raised exploring the creeks and ridge tops around his hometown of Missoula, Nathan gained a love of geography and an unending desire to uncover the adventures that lie in wait.
Following his graduation from the University of Montana, Nathan and his wife, Johanna, spent more than a decade following a path of discovery and learning, which included two years in Peace Corps Guatemala, a Master’s Degree in Environmental Planning, municipal work in Colorado, and the arrival of two children. In 2019, they set out in a converted school bus to travel the nation, only to have the nation lock down with the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020.
Nathan’s short works have appeared in Bugle Magazine, Montana Free Press, Mountain Gazette, Backpacking Light, as well as the Esperanza Project. His ongoing journalism can be found in the Bitterroot Star newspaper.
